The creation and establishment of R3 has been a gradual evolution that centered around one key aspect: helping people feel better. First it was by providing recovery and restorative treatments from a brick & mortar location, then evolving into a mobile business model. This new direction allowed me to reach more people who may not be able to travel to my storefront, while still providing the work-family balance I desired.
Here’s how it came to be:
I’d spent about 25 years working in the Health and Safety field for companies like Coca-Cola, Home Depot and Albertsons grocery stores. A portion of my responsibilities crossed over into the wellness field as I worked with our employees to maintain good physical health, and thereby reduce workplace injury.
Then in 2016, I watched an episode of the TV show Shark Tank on NBC that showcased a cryotherapy company and the ways cryotherapy can aid in healing injuries, accelerate athletic recovery, and rejuvenate the skin. I jumped at the chance to meet with the franchising owners, had a few meetings with them and Glacé Cryotherapy, Chattanooga came to fruition.
For three years I watched day in and day out how the services I offered (cryotherapy, LED light therapy, compression therapy, NanoVi and CryoSkin) truly impacted people’s lives. My team and I have helped them heal after injury, recover following a big athletic feat, and boosted their self esteem by refining wrinkles, healing acne and slimming those last pesky pounds a way.
I saw the positive effects we had one by one at our brick & mortar, but I wanted to find another way to reach those who truly needed these treatments but couldn’t make it into the shop. Enter: the event world!
Through partnerships with local corporations, large-scale events and one-off parties I began to bring our services to people where they are, do what I love and still have time to spend with my family.
I love working with people and being a part of making them feel a little better. Whether that feeling better is a result of reducing pain, helping with overall healing, or aiding them in feeling their best self. I knew that coming to our location was not always convenient for our clients, and that most of our services could be done in a mobile operation. The idea was born to have not only our brick and mortar location, but also to promote R3 Mobile as a solution for events, Corporate Wellness, gyms or really just about anywhere!

In 2017 I brought Glacé Cryotherapy to Chattanooga with a brick and mortar storefront on the North Shore providing whole body cryotherapy, and then beginning to add additional services along the way.
While our brick and mortar location was continuing to grow, we started seeing more interest in having us come to events and businesses. Through partnerships with local corporations, large-scale events and one-off parties I was able to bring the services to people where they are and still do what I love.
As the interest in events and remote treatments grew, I decided it was time to expand and not only have the brick and mortar location , but have a formalized process for the mobile events. R3 mobile was born. I love working with people and being a part of making them feel a little better. Whether that feeling better is a result of reducing pain, helping with overall healing, or aiding them in feeling their best self.
“Much I have gained, much I have lost, but for all I am thankful.” This is the loose translation of a Norwegian saying I have inscribed on a wall hanging in my home and it pretty much sums up 2020. While there are many things that made the year very difficult as a small business owner, 2020 also brought many great opportunities such as getting closer with family and friends and feeling love and support from our great clients. As 2021 began I thought about services that we should add to help our clients even more in feeling like their best selves. So far we have added halotherapy, vibration plate and Endosphéres services, all of which are a great compliment to our other services – and we may not be done adding!
Over the past few years I somewhat reluctantly became a runner. I had this one friend (we all have that friend) who encouraged me to train for a half marathon with her. Fast forward a year later and and I have completed 5 half marathons.
I am confident that without the availability of our recovery services, I would not have been able to build up to running that many miles. But I did and continue to do so one half marathon at at time. Whether it’s wine, a “hurray” jump, a medal or just a sense of accomplishment at the finish line, I am in!
